Sundays With Mia

Almost every Sunday, the hubs watches Mia so I can either go to the store, the mall, get a pedicure or just read a book for a few hours.  Its a nice little break, but I always miss her.  Silly.  He calls it "daddy day" and they go for frozen yogurt or go shopping or just go in the backyard and blow bubbles.

Yesterday while I got a pedicure they played hide and seek..only, Mia's version of the game is she hides under the covers in our bed and waits for the hubs to pull the sheets down and say "BOO!" Its like her favorite game ever!  After that, we went to the outdoor mall and played in the courtyard with all of the other kids.  No Super Bowl for us!

Here's a bunch of pictures that all look the same....I just couldnt decide because she looks so adorable in all of them.  Its ok I said that because Im her mom, right? I always think its a tad obnoxious when people constantly say "Have you ever seen anything cuter than my baby???!!!!"

I have no idea who played in the Super Bowl, but I DO know who the winner of the day was.  MIA!

SO CUTE!!!!! We didn't watch the Superbowl either. I didn't know who was playing. We aren't football people. Looks like a great day!

Yes, it's just personal and I don't write about it. Should I?

Hi, let's please talk about your hair. It's amazing! How do you get your roots so lifted? (Like in the first picture of you and Mia together.) Share, lady!

Anonymous- Um...ok, what you're seeing is my natural color in my roots, and some old color abou 4 inches down that's washing out. I only got my hair colored that one time because I had a bunch of gray in the front (on my hairline, WTF?), but its all fading now....and thats how I got my hair color. LOL. Sorry.

Mandy - I know this has nothing to do with Sundays with Mia, but I can't seem to find your email address or contact info; and I know you're not on formspring any longer.
Basically, I was wondering if, in the future, you might be willing to write a blog post about how you calmed your fears while you were pregnant. I'm 4 months pregnant right now and I can't stay off WebMD or googling about birth defects. I am driving myself insane although I realize this things are quite rare. I love your blog and was hoping I may be able to get some "real-life" advice from a mommy who has such a lovely baby.
Thanks!

ummm...seriously- I have never seen anything as cute as your baby! I convinced my husband it was going to be at least 5 years before I wanted kids, but every time I see pictures of Mia is makes me reconsider. She is the cutest thing ever!

re: going to church.

I was just wondering because you used to at least reference it, so since you didn't mention church in your Sunday activities I wondered if you were still going. So many people do all the work to become Catholics and then stop going to church after they are confirmed.

You could write about it if you want to - do you ever bring Mia?

Adorable pictures! Mia's getting cuter and cuter by the day, it seems.

I'm a bit jealous though, of what is obviously warmer weather in Las Vegas than we're having here in New York. I miss the sun! Maybe I could do desert living afterall, especially when I think back to how big you said your closet is (which is probably bigger than my entire apartment...seriously.)

Mandy!
I know Mia sleeps with you still and I was wondering if she stays up with you until you go to bed or do you put her to sleep and sneak out? Cause I know you stay with her when she naps.

I have a 7 month old who sleeps with us, and I love, and she goes to bed at about 8 and I nurse her to sleep and then sneak out, she stays asleep for about an hour then wakes up, i can nurse her again and same deal. Its not a big deal but I was wondering if when she starts crawling and walking if she'll still stay in bed!
Also I can't find your fb page to follow - if you have one.
You can email me back an answer if you want
Thanks so much!
