OOTD: SAHM Chic

NOT.

My Friend Kinzie Says has an awesome blog series where she posts her outfits and where she got each piece.  She has a super important job and has to dress up for work, which was always my favorite part about working.  Jenna is doing something similar, showing the pieces she got from a thrift store.  Super interesting! They both looks so good- Kinz, I am LOVING your J Brand Skinny Jeans, and Jenna- you look great in belts!!

I've decided to jump on the band wagon...I love seeing what random people are wearing.

I really have no idea how to take self-portraits, so this is the best I could do.

Shirt- GAP
Pants- Express from TJ Maxx about 7 years ago
Shoes- Nike (they match my shirt) from Nordstrom Rack

*Try not to be jealous of how stylish I am.*

Mia is asleep, but she is wearing:

Shirt- Janie & Jack
Jeans- Gymboree
Hairbow- Target
Shoes (not pictured)- Pediped (pink Isabella)
Binky- NUK brand

Now was that fun, or was that fun?!

OMG, please do this more often. You're hilarious, and it soothes the soul to see that I'm not the only one not wearing super cute outfits every day. And you're getting so skinny...! I'm jealous.

I actually really appreciate you posting your "SAHM chic" because whenever I look at blogger self portraits I always wonder if that's how they look most of the time. I assume they don't, but when I'm looking at a gorgeously put together SAHM and then I look at myself wearing yoga pants, an old T-shirt of my husband's, and my hair up in a messy bun I feel like I'm the only mom that doesn't get dressed head to toe just to stay at home! I think it's awesome that you showed what you really look like on a normal day :D

Super fun. It would be super DUPER fun if you put how much your outfit cost and how much her outfit cost. I'd imagine you (as will I) spend more on her clothes than your own.

Totally fun! :) You're so funny, Mandy! I'm not sure if this outfit says "chic".. but your Gap moto jacket sure does!

And Mia is just too darn cute. She's growing up right before our eyes!

AWESOME FUN!!! I'm currently wearing my hot pink robe seeing it's freezing down here in Texas. That's what I wear when my husband is working. When I do go out into the world I wear something similar to what your wearing.

Keep it up!

haha LOVED IT! Your outfits look like mine, except when I leave the house I thrown on some jeans for a 'put together look'. As soon as I get home, they come off!

Aww, thank you for the shout-out. You are adorable in your outfit-- I wish I looked that good in my loungewear. I'm usually wear an oversized, faded t-shirt with mismatched PJ bottoms.

I love this post! If I were to do it you would see alot of my pajama pants :) If I don't have to go anywhere why wouldn't I wear the most comfortable pants I have, lol.

That is INCREDIBLE. Big Lolz for this mama who needed it bad. Don't take that the wrong way. I just appreciate you keeping it real. I'm not mean girl laughing AT you or anything. You look fantastic!

Totally agree with PP how you should post how much you paid for yours vs. Mias;)

I love this idea & would love to see more of it from you! Admittedly I have already copied some of Mia's style & got my daughter some Disney Princess PJ's, they are too cute! I also recently stumbled across a fantastic site where a girl puts all these really cute outfits together & photographs in various locations. All items are from...wait for it...Walmart...I'm from Australia so no idea what quality etc is like but I love what she does & the looks are affordable & achievable for SAHM's like myself :) www.pennychic.com

I am kinda afraid of this happening after I have my baby - that I'll put more thought/time/money into my children's outfits than my own. I went and got a facial yesterday, pregnancy is making my skin rebel, and I wrestled with whether to spend the $150 (after tip) for almost 2 months before I finally went. Why am I so slow to drop money on myself, but not on this unborn baby who is making me zitty!

I'm making a rule now that I hope will stick when the baby comes - I'm only going to wear work out clothes if I'm going to work out. If my baby is in an outfit, I should be in an outfit too. PJ's and gym clothes are not outfits. (However I have a very soft spot for "lounge wear"). I'm in PJ bottoms working on my dissertation at 1pm on a Saturday... this may take some effort.

Love, and love. I am with you when you say that you don't like the fake blogs. I like that you can be real.

Love it! Actually, I am totally coveting the skinniness that you are rocking! I am also a SAHM, and totally wear yoga pants and loungewear most of the time. I guess I'm lucky though, cause my husband finds it totally hot....something about the tightness of the pants....

Anyways, please tell us more about this diet, because I want IN!!!

how do you get your 17mins of exercise for the 17 Day Diet? I hate exercising. It's such a drag to get the motivation I need your help!
